Fall 2: Deadpoint (2026)
To everyone’s surprise, a sequel was made to Fall (2022). Fall 2: Deadpoint picks up right where the last one left off, both in story and quality. Despite my score, there are some pros. The intensity and scope of the situation are drastically improved. Naturally, being on the side of a mountain versus a tower creates more challenges and obstacles. The first person POV shots were also very effective. Other than that… there’s not much here.
Without exaggeration, it follows the exact same structure, with similar dialogue and story beats that ultimately dulled my experience. The two new leads have the same personality traits as the previous two. The message and theme behind why they climb are essentially the same. And those last 20 minutes, when the twist is revealed… some of the funniest shit I’ve ever seen on screen.
You may think you can predict the ending. You can’t. They throw in an action sequence, people getting pushed off ledges, ’80s action movie one liners, stale line delivery…all within a span of about 15 minutes.
THEY EVEN HAVE A POST-CREDIT SCENE FOR FALL 3!!!!
